Questar uses internationally available off-the-shelf components in its equipment design, so customers can easily obtain replacement parts and avoid the high cost and long lead times normally associated with manufacturers’ proprietary parts. When needed, Questar offers scheduled on-site repair calls, in-house repair and rebuilding of K&S™ and Orthodyne™ wire bonders, as well as Unitek pull testers. Questar also performs board level repair on some systems. Periodic maintenance contracts are also available. For many users, this option minimizes the need for on-site technical staff visits and prevents normal wear and tear from becoming an operational or product quality problem.
